Why We Sing

Welcome to Women in Harmony Choir, we're glad you found us. We are a community choir of women from diverse cultures who meet weekly to share songs and friendship.

Women in Harmony's aim is  to celebrate multiculturalism, showcase diversity and to explore our shared humanity.

We weave a tapestry of music that celebrates unity, acceptance, and the joy of shared melodies.

Our very own publication best summarises how we feel about

'Women in Harmony', as we "create a safe environment to welcome women from all backgrounds, cultures, communities  and ages as we come together in song."

What Our Members Say About Us

Being a part of Women in Harmony is so much more than just singing.  We really do share-not only songs from different homelands but also friendship, food and languages

Singing in other languages has broadened my knowledge and outlook

I love the feeling when we sing in my language - somehow it connects me to who I am.  I'm sure the other choir members feel the same way so, singing in all our different languages somehow also connects me to everyone else.

So many times after we have sung people remark "You looked like you were enjoying yourselves.  We do!
